Terms and conditions
Version 2026-10-19.1
These terms are the contract between you and JobRats. You accept them when you create your account. We kept them short and clear. If something doesn't make sense, ask us in Support.
1. What JobRats is
JobRats is a web service for job hunting. It gathers jobs that match your profile, helps you apply and keep track of your applications, and emails you when there's news. You use it at jobrats.com and with the JobRats extension for Chrome.
2. Who provides it and how to reach us
JobRats is a service of Monk Labs SpA, RUT (Chilean tax ID) 78.404.978-7, with its address at Las Bellotas 199, oficina 62, Providencia, Santiago, Chile («JobRats», «we»). For questions, complaints or requests, write to us from Support or at soporte@jobrats.com. We reply within 5 business days.
3. Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older.
- An account belongs to one person only. It can't be shared or sold.
4. Your account
- You sign in with your email, through a link we send you. We don't use passwords.
- You are responsible for what happens from your account, and for your details being correct and your own.
- You can download your data and delete your account whenever you want from «My account». For safety, you need to have signed in recently.
- If you don't sign in for 12 months, we email you. If you don't come back within 30 days, we delete the account.
5. What JobRats does and what it doesn't
- JobRats suggests jobs posted by others. It is not a recruitment agency. It doesn't guarantee you'll get a job, and it isn't responsible for what the job posts say or for whether they are still open.
- JobRats only applies to the jobs you choose. The Chrome extension applies on your behalf from your own browser, with your LinkedIn session. You review each application before it's sent, unless you turn on automatic sending.
- LinkedIn and other job sites have their own rules. By using the extension, you accept that a site could limit or restrict your account for using automation tools. That risk is real, and it isn't zero. JobRats isn't responsible for what those sites decide.
- Some answers on application forms are suggested by artificial intelligence, using the details in your profile. They can be wrong, so check them. What gets sent in your name is your responsibility.
- JobRats doesn't ask for or store your passwords, and its servers don't sign in to your LinkedIn account or any other job site.
6. Trial, plans and prices
- When you create your account you get a free 7-day trial, no card needed: the rat brings you up to 1 job a day (5 in total) and sends 1 application for you. After that, if you don't choose a paid plan, your board stays available, but the rat stops searching and applying.
- The plans are JobRats and JobRats Pro, monthly or quarterly. The plans page shows the price and what each one includes.
- Prices are in Chilean pesos (CLP) and include Chilean VAT (IVA).
- If the price changes, we email you at least 30 days in advance. You can cancel before the new price applies.
7. Payments and renewal
- You pay with Mercado Pago. JobRats never sees or stores your card details.
- Your subscription renews on its own: monthly plans are charged every month and quarterly plans every 3 months, until you cancel. We email you 3 days before each charge.
- Before you pay, the page shows you the plan, how much you pay today and when the next charge is.
- If you change plans, the new one starts when what you already paid for ends. You are never charged twice.
- If a charge fails, you have 3 days of grace to update your payment method in Mercado Pago. If it isn't paid, the plan ends and we cancel the subscription in Mercado Pago.
- Payments are documented under Chilean tax rules.
8. Cancelling and refunds
- You cancel in one step from «My account». There are no more charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Since you get 7 free days to try JobRats before paying, and the service starts working right away, paid plans don't carry a right of withdrawal (article 3 bis, letter b, of Chilean Law 19.496). This doesn't affect your other rights as a consumer.
- If we charge you something we shouldn't (a double charge, or a charge after you cancelled), we refund it in full. Write to us from Support.
- When your plan ends, your board and your applications stay available.
9. Coupons
- A gift coupon turns on the plan for the time it says, with no charges, and it doesn't renew on its own.
- A discount coupon lowers the charge it says. After that, the plan goes back to its normal price.
- Each coupon can be used once per person and expires on the date it says. It can't be exchanged for money.
10. Inviting friends
- If someone creates their account with your link, they get 10% off their first payment.
- When they pay their first charge, we wait 7 days. If their payment holds (no refund or chargeback), you win a reward:
- if you don't pay for a plan, 15 gift days of the plan your friend chose (JobRats or JobRats Pro);
- if you already pay for a plan, your next charge is 50% cheaper (on quarterly plans, we take off half a month). With two rewards, the second one goes on the charge after that. If you stop paying before using it, it turns into 15 gift days.
- Gift days start when what you already have ends. If you subscribe while using them, your first charge starts when they run out.
- You can win up to 6 rewards a year. Rewards can't be exchanged for money.
- You can't invite yourself or create accounts to win rewards. If that happens, we may take the reward away.
11. Fair use
- You can't use JobRats for anything illegal, to send false information to employers, to access other people's data or to harm the service.
- You can't copy, resell or try to extract JobRats's code or data.
- If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account. We'll email you and refund the unused part if you already paid, except in cases of fraud.
12. What belongs to JobRats
The JobRats brand, design, texts and code belong to Monk Labs SpA. Your data and your CVs are yours: we only use them to give you the service, as the Privacy policy explains.
13. Liability
- We do our best to keep JobRats working at all times, but there may be outages, changes on the job sites or errors. If that happens, we'll tell you and fix it as soon as we can.
- We aren't responsible for what employers or job sites decide, or for what the job posts say.
- Nothing here limits the rights that consumer law gives you.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we publish the new version, tell you what changed and ask you to accept it before you keep using JobRats. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
15. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of Chile, including Law 19.496 on consumer protection. If you have a complaint, write to Support first. You can also go to Chile's National Consumer Service (SERNAC) or to the competent courts where you live.
